National Architecture Organizations There are a number of national architecture organizations in nations around the world. The US is home to national architecture organizations such as The American Institute of Architects and the Boston Society of Architects. The society of Architectural Historians has its roots in Chicago Illinois. The United States is not the only home of national architecture organizations. European associations include the Royal Institute of British Architects. Even Australia and New Zealand play host to the New Zealand Institute of Architects, The Royal Australian Institute of Architects, and the Society of Architectural Historians Australia and New Zealand. National architecture organizations serve a variety or purposes including linking professionals with one another, maintaining standards, recording proven techniques, and educating emerging architectural professionals. As members of these organizations architects are connected with others, the knowledge and support they need to succeed, and a strong foundation in their field. Emerging architects looking for information and assistance in a variety of ways can find resources including conferences, awards, education, and more. Most if not all of these organizations are now available online as well. |
